We all experience tension – sometimes more than others. Whether it’s a feeling of emotional tension like stress, pressure, anxiety or physical tension like sore muscles and headaches – we’ve all been there at one point or another.
I recently had a crazy awful toothache and thought I had something wrong with my mouth. I dramatically made an emergency visit to my dentist only to find out that there was absolutely nothing wrong with my teeth or gums like I had predicted. My dentist said that I had been clenching my teeth which was causing strain on a particular part of my jaw. He said that the muscle was tense which was causing a sensitivity in my teeth and it was all likely due to stress. He said that it would ease up in a short amount of time if I simply stopped clenching. After a few days of consciously avoiding clenching my mouth while working at my computer, my “toothache” vanished. Wild.
What I’m getting at is that it often only takes a conscious awareness in the area you’re holding your tension (emotionally or physically) to help ease yourself of it. I wanted to create a tarot spread to help you do just that. Enjoy!
