I want to start off this post by saying I do not believe that a tarot spread alone will help to heal trauma. I understand that trauma runs very deep – both in our physical body as energy and on a psychological level. I acknowledge that I am not professionally or emotionally trained in healing trauma, nor do I believe that it is something you should try to cope with on your own. If you are suffering from a traumatic experience please use your discretion and ask for help from a trained professional if need be. It is not something you have to battle alone.
I am in the process of dealing with a very deep and repressed experience that I’ve held on to my entire life. I am using a variety of resources and tools to help me release this trauma but, as always, I wanted to include tarot in this healing process.
This spread will hopefully shed light on how your traumatic experience has shaped your personality, the way you view yourself & your relationships, and how you will change as a result of letting go and moving forward.
From the bottom of my heart, I hope this spread helps you too on your journey of healing and self-discovery. I send all my love.
Layout: I created this spread as represented by the way I feel my own trauma, it is buried and repressed.. “bottled up”… this is represented in Card #1. However, if the fact that the cards are piling up on your trauma (Card #1) does not resonate with you and you would rather feel freedom in the way the cards are arranged, feel free to space them out further away from Card #1.
If you are wanting more resources on healing trauma, this is a wonderful post by Shakti Malan about sexual healing.
